Boroko, PNG, 9 June 2019 -- Saturday June 8th and Sunday June 9th 2019 saw the grandest gathering of Salesian Youth in Papua New Guinea as they welcomed a long anticipated event, WANTOK BOSCO. Hosted at Don Bosco Technological Institute, Boroko East the event welcomed youth leaders from Don Bosco Technological Institute, Don Bosco Technical School, Don Bosco Araimiri, Mary Help of Christians Parish and the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians. As a foundation for the Salesian Youth Movement in the region, this youth camp is a leadership formation for student leaders, youth group leaders, animators and facilitators.
During the Wantok Bosco 2019, the Salesian Youth Spirituality was carefully outlined by the speakers and facilitators in each of the sessions given throughout the event. The participants were challenged to bring back what they had learned to each of their settings. They were challenged to share and practice the Salesian youth spirituality.
The memorable gathering concluded with the Pentecost Eucharist. After 2 weeks we will have the Wantok Bosco Solomon Islands in Henderson.
