Quarterly recollection and ongoing formation in Hong Kong
Hong Kong, 1 October 2018 -- The feast of St Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, Patroness of the Missions. As a whole, China celebrates National Day. 31 Salesians of Don Bosco, including Fr Joseph NG, Provincial, 21 Priest Salesians, 6 Brother Salesians and 5 Salesian candidates to the priesthood (scholastics) gathered together at Tang King Po School Kowloon, Parish of Mary Help of Christians, for the Quarterly Meeting - Recollection of the Hong Kong Territory.
Fr. Domingos Leong, Vice Provincial and Formation Delegate, is leading the confreres to reflect on the topic for GC28, "What kind of Salesians for the youth of today?" Salesian confreres have the capacity and strength to be in communion with today's youth and their world, educating, evangelizing, forming and accompanying them together with our lay mission partners.
The day is arranged with morning prayer, then reflection input from Fr Domingos Leong, silent reflection, a common penitential service and the sacrament of reconciliation, lunch, small group sharing, and the Holy Eucharist.
