Dalat, Vietnam, 19 May 2018 -- To respond to the invitation of Fr. Jos. Nguyen Chan Hung, SDB the Rector of the post-novitiate of Don Bosco Da Lat, Viet Nam for the building of the new pastoral center at Don Bosco Da Lat compound, and the local bishop of Da Lat diocese will bless the land for the building on the occasion of the solemnity of Mary Help of Christian (May 24).

In the morning of May 15, 2018 with the presence fo Fr. Rector and the vice rector fr. Jos. Do Duc Han in charge of the charity school, together with salesian cooperators, teachers. All the pupils were very exciting and happy to break the earthly pigs (saving money). This was the money the pupils themselves and their parents have been saved during past week in order to contribute their little part in building God’s house.

Everyday, each pupil often sacrificed around 2.000 VND, or 5.000 VND, or 10.000VND, or 20.000 VND (1 USD). It was so touching that some of them were blind but their faces were so delight and happy when they had a chance to contribute their little efford. This was also a sign of real gratude of the parents and the pupils to the Salesians and this salesian community where everyday they come and are been teaching by Salesians, salesian cooperators, and teachers.

The rector was so moved when he received the amound of 4.560.000 VND (around 200 USD) from the pupils. This amound of money was not big. Hoverver, this as a real sacrifice and sincere hearts of the pupils and their parents. The rector thanked the pupils and also through them to their parents, the rector also asked them to pray always so that this construction will be finished soon, and this building will be the common house of all the different groups of the young to come for different activities.

The sun was shining brightly and the birds were singing as if they wanted to share the happy moment of the “real family spirit”, a family of Don Bosco in God.
