Surabaya, Indonesia, 30 July 2016 -- The formation gathering of the Salesian Brothers of the ITM Vice-Province was held in Surabaya, Indonesia from 26-30 July 2016. This is the 3rd gathering held in Surabaya, Puncak Trawas. 16 brothers participate in this formation gathering led by Bro. Raymond Calo SDB. The purpose of gathering, as stated during the introduction address of the first day, is to rediscover the new ways of presenting ourselves as a Salesian Brother of today.
16 brothers from both parts of the Viceprovince - Timor Leste and Indonesia participated in this formation gathering. The EAO regional formation coordinator Bro. Raymond Calo (FIN) gave the talks during three days of gathering. There was both group sharing and discussion, prayer and fraternal agape to strengthen the fraternal bond of each brother. At the conclusion of the gathering, the EAO Coordinator requested the brothers to discuss and to come out with one proposal to the ITM Provincial and Indonesia Delegate and both Formation Delegates regarding the formation of the Salesian Brother.
The brothers from Timor Leste also took advantage of visiting the 'recently' established communities in Indonesia delegation - like the Technical school in Blitar and in Surabaya
