Rome, Italy, 5 March 2016 - First time after the previous Novice-Master course in 1993, last February 29 was started another chapter of their formation history. During 2016, the Formation sector organized three opportunities for the Italian, Spanish and English speaking Novice Directors.


Fr. Anthony Boonlert (THA) is the only EAO participant in the first batch formation (February 29 – March 12), at present time without novices, waiting for next 4 Thai novice group next May 2016. Probably another group of seven EAO Novice Directors would join the November course conducted in English: Australia-Pacific, Korea, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Timor Leste and Vietnam.


During the two weeks long course, there are daily two sessions (9 AM and 3 PM), among the speakers are Salesians: Fr. Pascual Chávez, Fr. José Pastor, Fr. Mario Llanos, Fr. Mario Peressón, Fr. José Luis Plasencia, Fr. Andrea Bozzolo and 8 other speakers (profesor of the UPS-Rome or former Novice-Directors in Africa, America or Europe) as well one religious Sister Samuela Rigon SSM. The formation is animated by Fr. Ivo Coelho (councilor for formation) and his team – Fr. Cleofas Murgia (former MEG) and Fr. Giuseppe Roggia (former AFW).
