Archdiocese of Caceres - 18 June 2025 -- The Archdiocese of Caceres proudly hosted National Youth Day 2025 last June 10- 14, a significant event that gathered thousands of young Catholics from all over the Philippines. United by faith and inspired by the theme of hope, the youth came together to joyfully celebrate their faith.
On the first day, delegates were warmly welcomed by their Katood (friend) from their respective Harong (house-host parish) and introduced to their foster families. The second day allowed pilgrims to experience the Traslacion to Inang Peñafrancia, a cherished tradition held every September. On the third day, under the theme Pueblo nin Pagpugol (Temperance), delegates gathered at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture for a series of inspiring and formative talks.
The fourth day was dedicated to community exposure. In the Parish of St. Rose of Lima, where SYM Philippines was assigned, young people engaged with the local bamboo industry in Pili, while others had meaningful conversations with residents who had endured the devastating typhoon that struck Camarines Sur. The day ended with the pilgrims gathering at the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Peñafrancia for a vibrant cultural night, which concluded with a solemn celebration of the Holy Mass.
As National Youth Day 2025 comes to a close, the spirit of faith, friendship, and mission continues to live on in the hearts of every young pilgrim. United in Christ and inspired by these days of encounter, may each delegate return home renewed with purpose—to be pilgrims of hope and joyful witnesses of God's love.
