Rome, Italy, 11 June 2025 -- It is with great joy that I share with you the news that the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard, with the consent of his General Council, has appointed Fr Amelito D. Racelis SDB as the new Provincial of the Philippines South Province (FIS) for the six-year term from 2025 to 2031.

Fr. Racelis, who currently serves as Vice-Provincial, has been responsible for the governance and animation of the Province following the appointment of Fr Fidel Orendain to the General Council.

Fr. Racelis will officially begin his mandate as Provincial on 11 June 2025. The date of his official installation is yet to be confirmed.

As we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Fr Racelis on his appointment, let us also accompany him with our prayers and filial support as he prepares to undertake this important service of leadership and animation among you for the coming years.
