Lawaan, Talisay City, the Philippines, 8 June 2025 -- The Salesians of Don Bosco in the Province of Mary Help of Christians (FIS) held their spiritual retreat from May 25 to 31 and from June 1 to 7 at the Don Bosco Retreat House in Lawaan, Talisay City, Philippines. Around 70 Salesians from various settings in the Visayas and Mindanao joined the event.
Fr. Joel Camaya, SDB, from the Philippine North Province, facilitated both groups. Guided by the theme “Passionate for Jesus Christ, Dedicated to the Young,” Fr. Joel journeyed with the Salesians through a week of deep reflection and profound spiritual renewal. The evangelical vows and the special call to serve the young were the central focus of the meditations, drawing the participants deeper into their Salesian consecration each day.
At the conclusion of the retreat, each Salesian returned to their respective apostolates carrying the fruit of a renewed spirit for the mission.
