Prayer in preparation for GC29

“Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to the young.”

Good Father,
we ask you to prepare our hearts
to welcome the Lord Jesus
into our Salesian life.

Let GC29
be a favourable time
for our passion for
your Son Jesus
to grow

May the spirit of Don Bosco be alive in us
while we build
Educative and Pastoral Communities
that will lead the young
to an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist.
Teach us to see poor young people
through Jesus' eyes
and to meet them in their deepest desires.

Grant us the courage
to dream of a Congregation
that is the realisation
of what Don Bosco desired,
to be a leaven in the Church and in the world.

Mary Help of Christians,
Mother, Teacher and Guide,
intercede for us.
