FIN VOC Team meets EAO Regional Councilor

The Vocation Animation Team of the FIN Province met today, 24 November, with the EAO Regional Councilor, Fr Vaclav Klement, SDB for a roundtable discussion of its efforts to promote the Salesian Consecrated Vocation. 

Fr. Jay David, SDB, head of the Vocation Team, presented what has been accomplished since he took the helm in 2017, as a fulltime Vocation Promoter of the FIN Province. 

This intervention--to have a fulltime vocation promoter in the province--is one of the resolutions in the Provincial Chapter held in 2016. 

Fr. Klement re-echoed the feedback he gave to the formation houses that he visited to the team, that is, a more focused effort to make conscious about the two forms of one Salesian vocation--priesthood and Salesian brotherhood. 

He lauded the work of the team, especially in the recently concluded Vocation Promotion Workshop for Lay Mission Partners held yesterday in Canlubang, Laguna. 

Fr. Klement invited the group to involve more the Lay Mission Partners (LMPs) in this ministry, as he shared to the team the reality that some of our aspirants become conscious of the Call because of the role played by our LMPs.
