Don Bosco Home, Bangsak, Southern Thailand, 8 December 2020 -- This year is a great time for the World and also for me, the Covid19 pandemic is another sign from God: "Let's care about Nature". Since my retirement from the Hat Yai Don Bosco school earlier this year, I took a new step in my life. This situation is a time to learn how to look after your family when you need rigorous social distancing and food security is the way.

Since last June I have moved to this Don Bosco Home in Bangsak and try to work with the same concept as our beloved late King Rama IX (9) "Sufficiency Economy". So we use the Don Nong Na Model at Don Bosco Home Bangsak (DBGA).

What does it mean in concrete terms? On this large green Children - Youth Don Bosco Village property we try to establish five water storages, seven rice fields, plant a few hundred fruit trees and many vegetables - for the DB Home children and also many other plants for saving, we also help our young generation to learn some necessary skills. So, Laudato Si inspired a new chapter in Don Bosco Bangsak's history. Our aim is to invite many distinguished guests for the first harvest next May 2021.

Since Bangsak Don Bosco Home is rather far from the other Salesian settings in Thailand, we share our daily achievements on the YouTube channel (link below), so you can watch our daily education effort and development in the Don Bosco Green Alliance model.

Today we wish you a Blessed Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the Birthday of the whole Salesian Family!"
