Michaelites CSMA, PNG, 31 January 2023 -- The Michaelites (CSMA - Congregation of Saint Michael the Archangel) celebrate the feast of their Founder with great solemnity in all 16 countries around the world where they are present. They are also in the East Asia - Oceania (EAO) Region with their Vice-province of PNG - Australia. We are happy to share their celebrations in photos and in short video.
Blessed Bronislaw Markiewicz was born in the same year as Saint Dominic Savio (1842) and after his short Salesian formation and member of the first Salesian community in Poland, later launched his own Congregations - Michaelites (CSMA) and Michaelite Sisters (CSSMA) who are both now members of the Salesian Family. His liturgical memory is just on January 30, before the Solemnity of Saint John Bosco.
From Blessed Bronislaw we learn his passion for souls, with focus on Work and Temperance, with a strong spirit of Faith, expressed also in the special devotion to Saint Archangel Michael, and their missionary outreach spirit, being present already in all continents. Michaelites are eager to live the Don Bosco spirituality of the Preventive system in a special way in their social works for the youth in need.
Fr Bogdan Cofalik, CSMA (Michaelite) shares from the PNG Highlands: "We have very nice celebration of the feast of our founder Blessed Bronislaw Markiewicz at our National Divine Mercy Shrine in Ruqust in PNG.
