Fuiloro, Timor-Leste, 12 February 2023 --The diocesan commission for altar Servers organized two days of meeting and formation for the Altar Servers of the Parish at Lospalos and Quasi-Parish in Fuiloro. There were more than 200 Altar Servers present. The meeting and formation were held in the gymnasium of the Fuiloro SDB Community.
During these two days of meeting and formation, the team from the diocese under the leadership of Mr. José as the general secretary of Altar Servers in the Diocese of Baucau delivered the formation and the practical ideas for serving Mass. The formation is meant to achieve uniformity in serving the Mass at the level of the diocese.
The meeting and formation were conducted in general assembly and small groups. For the small grouping, the participants were divided into groups of leaders and animators, secondary school, junior and primary school students. The team from the diocese conducted the formation in these different groups based on the participants understanding.
On the night of the first day, there was also a fire ceremony during the animated Rosary that was organized by the Fuiloro FMA Sisters. On the last day of formation, the Rector of the community, Fr. Jose de Sa, SDB presided at the Sunday Mass for the participants and the lay people surrounding the Fuiloro SDB Community. The meeting was supervised successfully due to the collaboration of the team of formators and the attendees.
During the event, there were also dance presentations from different places to animate each other to make this event more vivid and lively.
