Eleven new priests of Don Bosco Vietnam

Xuan Hiep, Vietnam, 28 July 2018 - The Salesian Province in VietNam were deeply grateful to the Lord because of 11 new salesian priests as gifts from His immense bounty. The ordination mass was presided by the Most Rev. Joseph Dinh Duc Dao, Bishop of Xuan Loc diocese, at 8:00 AM at Xuan Hiep parish, Thu Duc dist., HCMC, with the concelebration of 150 salesian and diocesan priests.
Present at this important event were the Provincial, Fr. Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, and his provincial councillors, Rectors of the communities, salesians, Superiors and religious of some congregations, parents, relatives and friends of the new priests and the parishioners of Xuan Hiep parish. The total number is more than 2.000.

In the homily, Most Rev. Joseph Dinh Duc Dao focused on the way of life of the shepherd: Serving and Loving everyone like Jesus. He emphasized that through the imposition of hands of the Bishop, the new priests became “alter Christus”, an authentic Good Shepherd, and started to share His mission on the earth: Bringing His salvation to everyone. Especially as salesian priests, the salesian priests must be present among the poor young, took care of them, educated them and brought them to Jesus like Don Bosco.
