Spiritual Animator ADMA - Tokyo
Tokyo, Japan, 30 May 2023 -- On the Eve of Pentecost Sunday, on 27 May 2023, at Honjo Church in Saitama Province (Tokyo metropolitan area), 18 new members made their promise as members of ADMA (Association of Mary Help of Christians). They are of different nationalities (Japanese, Brazilian, Peruvian and Bolivian) and came from many different cities and locations like Gifu, Chiba, Tsuzuki, Mishima, Oizumi, Ota, Isesaki, Kazo, Yorii and Tokorozawa. On this festive occasion ADMA members from Tokyo and Hamamatsu city also took part.
These members have been maturing in their vocation to ADMA through the daily prayer of the rosary by 'zooming' in and out. Every evening we gather for the Rosary together with other non-ADMA members. All together we are about 60 people, made up of different nationalities. The language of our prayer depends on who is praying (Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, English, Korean, French, Latin, Croatian or Congolese).
Every day, as a Goodnight, the spiritual animator comments on a biblical text of that day or on a significant event. Once a week he shares on the Sunday readings. On Wednesdays this spiritual talk is in Japanese and on Saturdays in Spanish and Portuguese.
Thanks to the enthusiasm and contagious joy of the ADMA members, there are other 'zoom people' who have shown interest in ADMA and are in formation.
We thank Mary Help of Christians for this joyful day.
