(Dalat, Viet Nam) According to the process of on going formation, this year the seminar for young Salesian priests in Viet Nam was already organized in the Salesian retreat house of K'long in three full days from April 9 to 11, 2015. The participants are Salesian priests who were ordained during last five years, this year there were around 57 young priests taking part in this seminar. They are working confreres in different places of the whole country of Viet Nam. The speaker for the seminar this year is Bro. Raymond Callo SDB from the FIN. He is an expert in this aspect of spiritual accompaniment.
During these days, the young priests were emphasized on the importance of spiritual accompaniment through which each one can learn how to grow in his relationship with God as the the primary goal of the salesian life. For us Salesians, we always look at Don Bosco life to realize that his growth in his vocation was assisted all along by spiritual accompaniment. The speaker of the seminar offered to all the participants good materials for improving skills in spiritual accompaniment, and he also shared his own experiences as a Salesian spiritual director to help the participants to reflect and to practice spiritual accompaniment in their pastoral work.
As concluding words, the speaker encouraged each participant to look for himself a spiritual director so that first of all for his well being and then also for his growing in vocation and especially for the perseverance in his Salesian vocation.
