Sumba, Indonesia, July 24 - The new pastoral year started in Sumba community, with the installation of the new rector and novice master Fr. Andre Delimarta, presided by new the Delegate - Superior for Indonesia, Fr. Lino Belo.
This 13 years old community is located at the middle of the whole Indonesia archipelago, in almost completely Christian island (Protestants and Catholics).
After a short break, this year there are starting three young men their prenovitiate and four novices starts their religious life in the community. Community of 7 confreres is entrusted with mission of a small vocation training center (Budi Daya Don Bosco) for carpentry, daily Oratory with Youth Center and few mission stations of the local parish.
Starting with the school year 2015-2016 there was open also a new section of the Don Bosco Sumba mission - a high school, with 33 newly enrolled students.
Its a good news for the people who live in the middle of the whole Indonesia archipelago and its near areas as well that new pastoral year started in Sumba community in which students can learn religious life in the community and that institute is purely Christan people. New rector and novice master Fr. Andre Delimarta took the charge of that institute and he stared small vocational training program which is good approach and this will help to lean skills and apply in practical life.
