Phuoc Loc, Vietnam, 11 December 2024 -- On the afternoon of 9 December 2024, the Phuoc Loc Don Bosco Community solemnly celebrated the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, the patron saint of the Community. The thanksgiving mass took place at 5:30 p.m., presided over by Father Provincial Barnaba Le An Phong, with the concelebration of priests in the Province and the Phuoc Loc Community.
In his homily, the Provincial emphasized the privilege of the "Immaculate Conception" of the Virgin Mary, a special grace from God. He also affirmed that God will bestow grace upon each person in his own way. The feast of the Immaculate Conception also has a special meaning for Don Bosco's Congregation, because this is the day that Saint John Bosco decided to establish the Congregation.
The mass took place in a solemn and sacred atmosphere. At the end of the Mass, Father Giuse Nguyen Xuan Quang, Rector of the Community, on behalf of the Community and the secondary school, expressed his thanks to the Provincial, priests, sisters, teachers, participants and students who attended and celebrated the Community's patron saint.
After the Mass, everyone shared a dinner party in a joyful, warm and friendly atmosphere.
