DBYC Lawaan, Cebu, 27 August 2024 -- The Don Bosco Youth Center-Lawaan officially launched the school year 2024-2025 on August 18, 2024, at the Don Bosco Formation Center, Pilgrim Hall. The event embraced the theme, “Arats na sa DB! Magkahiusa!” One of the most awaited events of DBYC-Lawaan, entitled “Re-Youth-Niting Together with Bosco,” creatively combines the words “reuniting” and “youth” to convey a sense of coming together, fostering community, shared experiences, and youthful spirit. The event was full of energy and joy, bringing smiles to the faces of the youth. Here are some highlights of the event:

Each sodality had its own presentation, making the event even more memorable and fun. The sodalities also organized a food sale featuring a variety of delicious treats to raise funds for their upcoming activities. This initiative not only satisfied the appetites of attendees but also provided a valuable learning experience for the participants.

Bro. Perry Cervera, SDB, gave the Good Afternoon Talk to the DBYC youth during the launch for the year 2024-2025. As the event drew to a close, the officers and leaders of DBYC-Lawaan took to the dance floor with a captivating performance, showcasing their synchronized and energetic moves.

The 6 PM mass concluded with a joyous celebration, a testament to the community’s spirit of unity and hope. The induction of new leaders marked a new era for DBYC-Lawaan, one filled with promise and potential. Energized by the ceremony and the inspiring words of their new leaders, the congregation is ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

This event serves as a powerful testament to the diverse talents and capabilities of the youth at DBYC-Lawaan. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication were evident in every aspect of the event, from the captivating presentations that left a lasting impression on the audience to the delicious food they prepared and sold, demonstrating their entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness. The event was not only a celebration of their achievements but also a showcase of their potential, highlighting the remarkable young individuals who are shaping the future of their community.

DBYC-Lawaan is clearly nurturing a generation of young people who are not only talented but also driven, resourceful, and committed to making a positive impact on the world around them. Their participation in this event is a testament to the transformative power of the center’s programs and its commitment to empowering youth to reach their full potential.
