Banpong, Bangkok, Thailamd, 14 November 2022 -- On November 8 and 11, 2022, Thai Province's Youth Ministry organized a youth gathering event called "SYM Day Camp." This event occurred at St. Dominic School Bangkok on November 8 and at Don Bosco Technological College Ban Pong on November 11.
The theme of the event comes from the words of St. Artemides Zatti, the Salesian Brother who was canonized last October 9, 2022: "You have to give the best to Jesus."
At the beginning of the gathering, there was an opening ceremony presided over by Fr. Kriengsak Chaiphornkaew (rector of St. Dominic School-Bangkok), and Fr. Bancha Kitprasert (rector of Don Bosco Technological College-Ban Pong).
After the opening ceremony followed a talk "You have to give the best to Jesus" by Fr. Yarat Chaiyara. Then all the young people formed smaller working groups related to the theme. After morning workshop, the SYM members presented their group sharing to the assembly.
In the afternoon, there was a stage performance to represent the ‘good things that we can do’ for others, like Saint Brother Artemide Zatti, who ‘gives his best to Jesus’.
At this SYM event, gathered more than 200 students from all 7 Salesian schools and few other Salesian Family schools. We wish and pray, that after this 2022 SYM camp when these young people return to their ordinary venues, they may have the eyes of St. Artemide Zatti, who sees Jesus in everyone and gives the best to Jesus.
