Banpong, ThailandOn 23 January 2016 - About 25 SIHM Sisters and 30 candidates and young sisters in formation with about 30 of their lay mission partners: Catholic mission partners: teachers and staff in different communities) had joined the Salesian Family annual gathering at Sarasitphitthayalai School, Banpong, Ratchaburi, Thailand.

They were very much impressed by the family spirit among all the members of the Family and they learned many thing from the Rector Major’ Strenna about the adventure journey in the Spirit!

In the evening the mission partners paid a short visit to the aged Sisters at Phornpachara House, Ratchaburi, were empowered by the short but encouraging messages from Rev. Mother General, Sr.Maliwan Paramathawirote and Sr.Wilaiwan Yonpaladyod, former Mother General.

On Jan. 24, 2016 the Lay Mission Partners went for pilgrimage at Blessed Nicolas Bunkert Kibamrung’s Sanctuary at Sampran, Nakhorn Pathom. They were welcome and brought through the Holy Year door into the Church to pray and ask for blessings. Then followed a short conference about the Thai Chuch history, in the meeting room given by a lay catholic historian. All participants were filled with joy and more enthusiasm to be better Catholic faithful in their ordinary life.
