Mayapa, the Philippines, 28 January 2016 - The Salesian Family of the Laguna Cluster of FIN kicked-off their celebration of the feast of St. John Bosco at Mary Help of Christians Parish, Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna (1 hour south of Manila).

The SDB, FMA, ASC, ADMA, Past Pupils, VDB were present to celebrate the Eucharist presided by Fr. Danilo Torres, SDB, Vice Provincial concelebrated by more than 20 priests. Fr. Danny gave a beautiful reflection on the role of Mary in the work and life of the Salesian Family. The gathering is also to promote vocations to the Salesian Family especially those who are not much known. Moreover, the triduum celebration will close the celebrations of the bicentenary year of Don Bosco's Birth, a year of grace for the whole Salesian Family.

The aspirants and prenovices of the SDBs and the aspirants, prenovices and novices of the FMAs also particpated in the mass.

The celebration today is first of the three Triduum Masses. The second mass will be held at St. John Bosco Parish in Sta. Rosa and the last mass will coincide with the Grand Mass of Don Bosco College where the SDBs, FMAs and ASC are to renew their vows and promises before the young people of Canlubang.

There are 7 communities of SDBs, 4 communities of FMAs, several ASC Chapters, 1 VDB district, several ADMA groups, several Past Pupils groups, 1 SCG community comprise the Salesian Family of the Laguna District. Laguna province is believed to have the highest density of Salesian Family members. We pray that more vocations to the Salesian Family increase in number from generous souls who would be willing to offer their life for the young people. Likewise, let us also pray that the Salesian Family in Laguna will really make a great impact in the life of the young in their settings and in the diocese.
