Bula Bosco, Fiji, 16 August 2016 -- About 60 parents, children and youth joined in our Bula Bosco celebration. The one day event started with the celebration of the Eucharist honoring St John Bosco. The Mass was led by Fr Taisali Leuluai, Rector of Don Bosco House Formation Community. During the homily Fr Taisali challenged the young that they should not be afraid to live a good and holy life, echoing St John Paul II challenge to the young that "young people should not be afraid to become a saint". Fr Taisali also proposed to the young the three Young Salesian saints; St Dominic Savio, Blessed Zephyrinus Namuncura and Blessed Laura Vicuna as exemplar to their life of holiness.
The Eucharist was followed by the presentation presented by Fr Jim Kyaw Hoe on the whole life journey of St John Bosco. This was followed by sports and other outdoor activities led by the Brothers in Formation. After the activities and sports then all shared a break with a BBQ for lunch before closing the day with great entertainments performed by the Sunday School children.
It was certainly a day full of joy and laughter. It was truly a fulfilling event for all who participated especially the Salesians.
