EAO, 28 August 2016 -- In few month time we remember the 140th anniversary of the Salesian Bulletin, charismatic-wise very important tool started by Don Bosco in 1877.

At the moment in the EAO we have access to the following editions of the Salesian Bulletin:

Do you read any version of the Salesian Bulletin?

Already Don Bosco and Don Rua complained that the Salesian Bulletin is not the favourite reading of the Salesians! Although the English edition is only from Australia - Pacific Province (AUL) and the Filipino edition (FIN-FIS), we can be inspired a lot from the other non-English editions as well!

SDB General regulations is clear: 'The Salesian Bulletin founded by Don Bosco, spreads knowledge of Salesian spirt and activity, especially in its missionary and education aspects. It's concerned with the problems of youth, encourages collaboration and tries to foster vocations. It's as well an instrument for formation and a bond of union between the different branches of the Salesian Family...."(41)

We remember all EAO editors of the Salesian Bulletin, their staff and editorial board. In the same time we pray that the 'Salesian Bulletin Free' territories of the Region - like Myanmar viceprovince, Indonesia and Cambodia delegations and PGS viceprovince may be able to launch one day their first issue!

We pray for the recovery of Fr. Frank Freeman (the most senior Salesian Bulletin editor in the EAO, based in Melbourne, Australia) and we encourage all Salesians to read and spread this wonderful instrument of Don Bosco!
