On 25 March, the Solemnity of the Annunciation, two young Salesians made their religious profession at the Salesian Seminary in Chofu, Tokyo. Bro. John Bosco Fukagawa Nobukazu made his first vows, while Bro. John Bosco Taniguchi Ryohei took his perpetual vows.

The main celebrant of the Mass and the rite of religious profession was Fr. Mario Yamanouchi Michiaki, Provincial Superior. The event was graced with 30 Salesian priests and a diocesan priest, Fr. Makiyama Miyoshi of Bro. Taniguchi’s home parish, concelebrating. Around 180 people gathered to participate in the celebration.

Having made their profession to be consecrated to God in the year of the bicentenary of Don Bosco’s birth, as well as in the Year of Consecrated Life, the even has become a more profound moment in their lives.

Please pray for our newly professed confreres, so they may faithfully and joyfully keep on their journey as Salesians of Don Bosco.
