Strategic Plan for Mogolian Delegation

By Van Chinh, SDB

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 9 May 2018 -- To help the salesians of Mongolian delegation to think, to live and to work to the planning mentality as required by GC27, Mongolian delegation organizes a course of planning for all salesians working in Mongolia from Monday to Friday, May 7-11, 2018, at the Ulaanbaatar community.

Ten salesians of the delegation are the attendants of the course, including Fr. Paul Leung, delegate of Mongolia and the salesians of two communities. Facilitator of the course is Mr. Le Dai Tri, a doctor and also an expert of Planning in VietNam. Two other salesians from VietNam are also present in the course: Fr. John Chrysostom Phạm Ngọc trường, Delegate for Youth Ministry and Fr. Peter Pham Van Chinh, Delegate for Social communication of VietNam province.

Since 2017, especially after the canonical visit of Fr. Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, the provincial, Mongolian delegation wished to have an innovation in thinking and in doing according to the planning mentality, so they decided to spare the time for the course of Planning. That’s an ideal and good time for them to sit together, to discuss, to share their experiences, and to build up the 5 year Strategic Plan for Mongolia.

In addition, the salesians of two communities also wish to buid up their own Community Plans and Action Plans for themselves and for their Salesian works with the help of the expert. The expected time to do this is about 1 week for each community.

Salesians in Mongolia hope that this occasion would help them totally dedicate themselves to work for the benefits of the Young in Mongolia more effectively.
