DB Xuan Hiep, HCM, Vietnam, 24 January 2024 -- On the afternoon of 20 January 2024, Don Bosco Xuan Hiep Community organized a Fair Day - a meeting of young people in parishes and the Salesian Community with the theme "The Dream makes us dream."
The fair and meeting saw more than 710 people in attendance, including children from 8 apostolates and parishes: Go Vap, Ben Cat, Duc Huy, Tan Cang, Xuan Hiep, Tam Hai, and Bac Ha, with the support of more than 150 collaborators, including Brothers, Sisters, Collaborators from two centers Xuan Hiep and Tam Hai and Aspirants. According to Father Dominic Quang Hien, head of the fair's organizing committee, "This program aims to create a valuable playground, emphasizing the element of exchange and interaction among young people between parishes, and at the same time, It also creates bonds of connection, sharing and apostolic companionship in various forms of vocation in the Salesian family."
The opening of fair day was the holy mass celebrated by Fr. Provincial Barnabas Le An Phong.
After the Mass, the Fair Day began with the opening and blessing by Rector Joseph Le Ngoc Anh. The young people were informed by the Organizing Committee of some regulations and introduced the form of play and the booths. After that, the stalls opened their doors to welcome and serve young people.
There are up to 25 game booths and also vocation "booths" from religious congregations and a Laudato Si' "booth", with the purpose of introducing consecrated vocations and educating children to be aware of environmental protection.
The fun day of the Fair is connected by lunchtime and entertainment, with collaborative performances by young people from parishes. The fun and exciting atmosphere is also enhanced by a quiz game show with questions about Don Bosco to let children know about Don Bosco and his spirit. The day of activities was joyful and brought many useful lessons to all participating children.
