SDB and FMA in the 2018 Synod dynamics
Rome, Itlay, 12 July 2018 -- This time the regular semestral meeting of SDB & FMA General Councils was held at the FMA General House, Via dell'Ateneo Salesiano, 81 on July 11 with the presence of Fr. Angel F. Artime, Rector Major SDB and Sr. Yvonne Rengaut, Mother General FMA. A special prayer was offered for the recently deceased mother of the FMA Vicar General, Sr. Chiara Cazzuola.
The whole meeting has again happened within the dynamics of the Universal Church - just 3 months before the Synod of Bishops about 'Youth, Faith and Vocation Discernment'. Fr. Rosanno Sala, SDB - a special Secretary of the 2018 Synod presented to the participants the Instrumentum Laboris (Working document) of the 2018 Synod. 28 General councilors were introduced in the Synod journey dynamics strongly influenced by the listening to the young people: indeed 50% of the sources for the Working document are quoted from the 'Youth Listening' opportunities during past two years. An expert guide, Fr. Sala helped both general councils to understand not only the Synod document but especially the Salesian charismatic gift we need to share with the Universal church in all 132 countries we are present.
Each Councilor was enriched with a deeper awareness of strategic elements in the worldwide movement of the Church to journey with the young people in their life journey of faith and vocation.
As usual, the whole meeting was a living experience of family spirit and open talks during group sharing and during sumptous dinner served by the FMA sisters with love and care. Communion in the Salesian Family.

Anticipando la “buona notte” il Rettor Maggiore
fa il punto su alcuni aspetti emersi dalla riflessione dei gruppi
e focalizza tre bisogni fondamentali
dei giovani e delle giovani di oggi:
1. hanno bisogno di sperimentare in noi l’affetto
di un papà e di una mamma;
2. hanno bisogno di proposte forti e che li aiutiamo ad incontrare Gesù;
