The start of the new Viceprovince of Indonesia is coming soon
Jakarta, Indonesia, 11 July 2018 -- Finally Fr Andrew Wong, the Provincial-elect of the new Vice-province of St. Louis Versiglia (INA - Indonesia) communicated: "I arrived early this morning at the Jakarta International Airport, Indonesia. I am back home again, coming from another home at Paranaque (FIN). Pray for me as I do for you. One always with you in the Lord Jesus...This is all God's grace. I thank Him all the time."
Twenty years after his start as the first ITM (Indonesia-Timor Leste) Viceprovince Superior in 1998 and 24 years after being sent to Indonesia - Timor Leste as a missionary in 1994, now Fr. Wong is busy preparing the launching of the new Viceprovince in two weeks time.
Indeed after March 2005, when he left from the ITM as a new provincial of the Philippines North (FIN), he visited Indonesia only few times as the EAO regional councilor (2008-2014). Now is the time to reconnect with the confreres and Salesian family of Indonesia. Really, welcome again back home!
The installation of the new provincial of Indonesia is scheduled for August 1 in Jakarta and the consultation for the first provincial council members already started.
But the best is coming earlier - next July 24 the Twelve (sic!) novices are ready to make their first profession in Tigaraksa Novitiate (10 AM Eucharist) with the Scripture motto 'He appointed Twelve to be with him..." (Mk 3,14). We ask your prayers for Benediktus, David, Gregorius, Julius, Sergius, Heribertus, Blasius, Kikementinus, Andreas, Manuel, Yohanes and Marcelino... 'to be really with Him!'
