Lux Mundi and Salesianum in Sam Phran

Hatyai, Thailand, 2 October 2018 -- Father Bancha Kitprasert, the Rector of Saengthong Vitthaya School, Hatyai, Songkhla, Thailand, has been working in one of the Don Bosco missions, dedicating himself to serving community education: teaching Christianity to eleven Buddhist monks from Thailand’s neighboring countries. They are Laotian, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Myamarese, Indian and of course, Thai.
The teaching content concerns the basic knowledge of the Bible, Catholic beliefs, rituals, ceremonies and sacraments of the Catholic church.
These Buddhist monks are undergraduate students in Mahapanya Vidayalai, an international Buddhist school located in Hatyai, Songkhla, Thailand. The college is affiliated with Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (the main campus is in Wangnoi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand).
This is quite interesting since both Father Bancha and his students can share their ideas about the content taught, such as the unity of religions.
Father Bancha has been invited to be a lecturer at the college since semester 1/2018. He is the pride of the Salesians.
