Dalat, Vietnam, 25 November 2016 -- After the succesfull three days formation for the Salesian Family delegates in K'Long Retreat Center (20 km from Dalat) our Don Rua Community (Postnovitiate) in Dalat was happy to spend one full day with the World Councilor for the EAO Region, Mr. Philip Yu, ASC.

Both Salesians SDB and Salesians Cooperators in Dalat benefit from this dense Salesian Family moment.

The meeting was included two local centers of the Salesian Cooperators: Mary Help of Christians (Dalat) and Alessandrina da Costa (Duc Trong) with 60 Salesians Cooperators. I think the theme about the identity and nature of the Salesians Cooperator vocation was a wonderful theme for us. Some important life questions emerged:

  • Who is a Salesian Cooperator?
  • What is a Vocation?
  • Autonomy of the ASC Local Center and Communion with a local SDB Salesian community.
  • Economic Autonomy and Solidarity.
  • How to make a fund-raising?
  • Collegiality in the ASC Local Center.

It was a talk in open way - like open forum .Therefore it was very active and lively interaction. We had many questions and also got many practical answers from Mr. Philip Yu. I think this encounter was very useful for each Salesian Cooperator and Local Centers to make them grow in Salesian Vocation and Autonomy.

Afterward,we had a short prayers together and a long fraternal dinner. It was a wonderful Family time. Thanks be to God!
