Ha Noi, Vietnam 10 January 202 – On Wednesday 8 January 2020, in welcoming the Lunar New Year, year of the rat, the Salesian Delegation of North Vietnam celebrated the Salesian Family Day at Van Phuc Community, in Hanoi Diocese.

The participation involved various Salesian Family members on this Second Salesian Family Celebration: SDB, FMA, Co-operators, SYM, VDB, and ADMA. Theme of the Day was how to live the Strenna 2020 of the Rector Major “Good Christians and Upright Citizens” in the context of Vietnam, shared by Fr. Thomas Aquinas Tran Quoc Tuan, the Delegate of the North.

Then Fr. John the Baptist Tran Van Hao in charge of all parts of the Salesian Family in the North gave a talk on different parts of the Salesian Family, especially the newly formed ADMA in the North of Vietnam and asked all the SDB Communities in the Delegation to pay more attention to these special members of the Family.

After the sharing, all the participants took part in the holy mass to thank God for all the graces and marvelous deeds he has done for the Delegation during recent years. In his homily, Fr. John B. Tran Van Hao invited everybody to imitate Don Bosco in changing wolves into sheep. As sons of Don Bosco, the Salesians are asked to change the young into “Good Christians and Upright Citizens.”

Finally, in the family atmosphere, the participants shared a warmly family meal and played together many new year traditional games as a wayof wishing each other a new year with luck, happiness and peace in God.

May God through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians and Don Bosco bless the new Delegation in the coming lunar new year.
