By Fr. Ambrose Pereira SDB, Editor

Port Moresby, PNG, 5 February 2022 -- The Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands Social Communications Commission proudly releases its Salesian Bulletin 2021 Volume 4 - Issue 1. The magazine has as its theme: 'Moved by Hope' following the 2021 Strenna of the Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime. It has been edited by Fr Ambrose Pereira sdb and given a professional outlook by Fr Srimal Priyanga and his team.

The 32-page Salesian Bulletin was put together in the second half of 2021, with the help of the Social Communication members of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. The articles and reflections are a celebration of hope of what has occurred throughout the year 2021. It has been the collaboration of several persons, budding writers supported by an enthusiastic Media Club. The arts, drama, music, images, film, theatre, song, and dance are essential elements of our Salesian system, given to us by Don Bosco.

Sheryll Isoiamo was the editor in 2019 and 2020. The Provincial and his council requested Fr Ambrose to once again take up the responsibility and edit the magazine. Thanks to Fr Gregorio Bicomong, Provincial for the encouragement and support all through the production.

We do hope you will enjoy reading it and that it will inspire you to share messages of hope amidst our struggles, pains and difficulties. May the Salesian Bulletin be a reflection of the love of God of the entire Salesian Family that we share with the young and the poor in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands.
