Fatumaca, Timor lestre, September 14, 2015 – The 14th of September 2015 is the feast day of the Triumph of the Cross and it also marked another important day for the community of Colégio Dom Bosco-Fatumaca; a day of installation of Fr. Anacleto Pires SDB as the new rector and novice master.

In the presence of Fr. Virgilio do Carmo da Silva SDB, the provincial of ITM Vice-Province, assisted by the confreres, novices, aspirants and the students of Don Bosco Technical High School; Fr. Anacleto Pires SDB solemnly recited the prayer “Credo” and officially signed the letter to be the rector and novice master. The celebration took place in the church of Shrine Mary Help of Christians Fatumaca. It was simple, yet in a prayerful way.

Congratulation dear Father! And thank you for your kindness and availability to take up these very important tasks.

Fr. Anacleto Pires SDB has just completed his study at UPS Rome. Before leaving for Rome for his study; he was previously in charge of the formation of the Aspirantate of Don Bosco Fatumaca from the year 2002 to 2008. He became rector of the pre-novitiate community of Don Bosco Lospalos from the year 2008 to 2013.

In his homily the Provincial reflected upon the true meaning of the Cross is a sign of salvation. He invited each and every one to discover the true meaning of the Cross in one’s own life. He then congratulated Fr. Anacleto Pires and encouraged him to take up these important tasks in animating the community and the formation of the novices.

On the same day that Fr. Virgilio began his four days of canonical visit. During the good night talk to the salesians, novices, aspirants and the students; he expressed his deep gratitude to Fr. Tomas de Carvalho SDB for his lead as a Rector in-charge for a couple of months and thanked the community of being together and working together.
