Caritas Sister of Jesus
Rome, 21 September 2019 -- Following last year's experience, the Caritas Sisters of Jesus 'Seminar on Spirituality' is being held in the Jesus-Master Congregation retreat house in Rome, Italy from 17-30 September 2019. The 35 participants are Caritas Sisters of Jesus from seven countries: Italy, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Peru, South Sudan, and Uganda coming together to deepen their understanding of their charism and the spirituality of the Congregation.
Lectures and reflections on the Constitutions are guided by Mother General, Sister Teresia Furuki, on consecrated life in the Church and formation for living together in multicultural communities. After two weeks of the Seminar the participants will embark on the pilgrimage to the Salesian community in Perugia. During the Eucharist two Sisters will be sent as new missionaries for South Sudan.
The SDB community in Perugia was the first pastoral experience place where Father Antonio Cavoli, as a Salesian, was happy to hear about the incoming Japan missionary expedition from Father Pietro Ricaldone (Vicar of the Rector Major), who visited this house.
