Join the Don Bosco Green Alliance Project

By Fr. Smith Myth Daeng, SDB

Bangkok, Thailand, 23 March 2022 -- Saint Dominic School has consistently valued and emphasized the conservation of natural resources and the environment. Therefore, we have established guidelines to ensure that students have a good conscience to use natural resources and the environment properly, make the most of it, and embrace the message of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si', which focuses on preserving the planet and the homes we live in together, as a way to organize activities for students to protect nature and the environment in line with the DON BOSCO GREEN ALLIANCE activities of the Salesians society that campaigns for cooperation to increase green space, conserve the environment for sustainable living.

In this campaign, our students are encouraged to use resources sparingly, such as not leaving water on, reducing electricity consumption, using cloth bags instead of plastic bags to help reduce waste, knowing waste separation to help save the environment and reducing pollution to the world, controlling paper use sparingly, knowing how to repair supplies for as long as possible, creating green space in the house by planting trees to save energy, etc.

At the same time, it promotes and develops the potential of students in the field of resource conservation by students in the class. P.1-M.3 Participated in the Laudato Si Scout Volunteer Activity for the academic year 2021 online (Laudato Si' The world is the home we live in together) between November 2021 and January 2022, organized by the Rattanakosin Scout Club Association.
