Hanoi, Vietnam, 13 January 2023 -- On January 11, 2023, the northern Delegation of Don Bosco Viet Nam celebrated "Salesian Family Day". The day of fraternal gathering took place at the headquarters of the Delegation, located in the Van Phuc parish, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi capital. The weather on the day of the meeting was fine. From early in the morning, many brothers and sisters from far came to attend the gathering, according to the tradition that has existed for many years.

In the northern delegation, there are currently 5 groups in the Salesian Family, namely SDB (48 members working in 11 communities), FMA sisters (38 sisters working in 5 communities) , 1 Salesian Cooperator center with about 25 members, 5 VDB sisters and 2 groups of the Association for Devotion to Mother Help of Christians (ADMA) with 120 members. In addition, to attend the Family day, we also invited some young people from the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) and some representatives of the parish authorities in the parishes where the Salesians are serving. Total attendance of the meeting day was 150 people.

To begin with, Father John the baptist Tran Van Hao, superior of delegation spent about 25 minutes explaining the Strenna 2023. After that, 5 groups of the Salesian Family of the delegation presented briefly about their group's activities in recent years. The Delegation Superior emphasized that today's gathering is not a discussion or study about Strenna, but first of all it is an occasion to demonstrate the fraternal communion among the brothers and sisters of Don Bosco, and together determined to help each other realize the Strenna that Father Rector Major had inspired.

The culmination of the Salesian Family Day was the celebration of Mass in honor of Saint John Bosco.

The day of gathering ended with a joyful lunch filled with fraternal communion. Everyone also shared with each other New Year's greetings and best wishes.
