K’Long Retreat Center, 12 February 2022 -- After a long time, all activities having been suspended due to the Covid epidemic, the Salesian Province of Don Bosco Vietnam organized the first Regular Training Course for Rectors. The Regular Training Course took place over 3 days; from 89-12 February 2022, at K'Long Meditation Center. Attending this Course were Father Provincial, Barnabas Le An Phong, Provincial Councillors and the Rectors of the communities.
The Rectors arrived at at K'Long Center by 5 pm on 9 February. After that, they prayed together to sanctify this Course. After evening prayer, Father Provincial gave a special address to the Rectors. He shared his concerns and the directions of the Congregation. This was drawn from his meeting with the Rector Major in Rome.
On 10 February they reflected on the image of a humble servant living and working under the preventive education system. In the evening, they shared about the pastoral work in Da Lat and Dong Nai areas.
Next, on 11 February Father Provincial shared about the animation role and companionship of the Rector in accordance with the instructions of the Congregation. Afterwards, Provincial Economer, Nicolas Kieu Long Ho, talked about the administrative role in the Province. In the afternoon, the Councillors presented the projects and activities of the departments. In the evening, they shared about the activities of the Salesians in Saigon and the Central Highlands.
On 12 February they shared the pastoral work in the Northern province. The Regular Training Course closed at 11:00 a.m. on the same day with a thank you note from Father Joseph Hai Dang to Father Barnabas, the Councillors, and the Fathers of the Organizing Committee.
