Cebu, Philippines, 4 December 2023 -- In a joyous ceremony on 2 December 2023 at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, a total of 66 Bosconian students, spanning grades 3, 4, 5, and 9, celebrated a significant milestone in their spiritual journey as they received the Holy Eucharist during their First Holy Communion.

Accompanied by their loving parents, the communicants gathered to partake in this sacred event, witnessing a memorable day in the spiritual growth of their children. The Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Randolph A. Figuracion, SDB, the Rector/President/Vice President for Pastoral Programs, was a momentous occasion that brought together the Bosconian community.

Joining Fr. Figuracion were Fr. Rooney Undar, SDB, the VP for Academic Affairs, and Fr. Reynante Sabelita, SDB, the College & TVET Pastoral Animator, contributing to the solemnity of the ceremony.

During his heartfelt homily, Fr. Randy emphasized the profound significance of the Eucharist, guiding the communicants through the 3Ps: Power, Presence, and Perseverance. He encouraged the students to draw strength from the transformative power of the Eucharist, to feel the real presence of Christ in their lives, and to persevere in their faith journey.

The First Holy Communion ceremony not only marked a pivotal moment in the spiritual lives of the Bosconian students but also served as a unifying event for the entire school community. The values imparted during this sacred occasion are expected to resonate in the hearts and minds of the communicants as they continue their spiritual journey within the Bosconian tradition.

As the Bosconian community celebrates this memorable day, the impact of the First Holy Communion is sure to be enduring, fostering a deeper connection to faith and a sense of unity among the students, their families, and the entire school community.
