Sumba, Indonesia, 30 October 2023 -- Don Bosco Training Center (BLK) held Competency Based Training for 20 participants in the field of Operation and Maintenance of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) for one month. These participants are sponsored by the MENTARI Program – a collaboration program between the British Embassy in Indonesia and the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
These 20 participants came from 17 villages throughout Sumba that received Special Allocation Funds from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the development of Renewable Energy Infrastructure. After attending training at BLK Don Bosco, participants are expected to have the appropriate experience and skills to become PLTS operators in their respective villages. Hopefully, they will all remain enthusiastic in accompanying and educating young people in Sumba.
