Da Lat, Vietnam, 25 September 2023 -- Sunday morning September 24, 2023, at Don Bosco Dalat Academy, Don Bosco Dalat Student Group (SOB) organized the opening of the new school year 2023-2024.

Attending were Father Thomas Vu Kim Long - Rector of Don Bosco Dalat Academy, Fathers and brothers in charge of the SOB Group, Sisters of some religious congregations who are accompanying the students; the Salesian Cooperators, along with a number of parents and benefactors.

The opening program began at 9 a.m. with the theme "Young people living a life of witness". Father Francis Xavier Tran Quoc Tuan, in charge of the SOB group, said that this school year there are nearly 150 students from Da Lat University, Yersin University Da Lat and Da Lat College, including 40 new students joined them.

The Rector of the Academy stressed that the students are educated people, the future of the Church and the future of Vietnam, so they have to know how to educate themselves to become useful people for the Church.

Next, the Father in charge of the SOB group presented the year's activity plan and asked the Virgin Mary to accompany and protect them, with the goal of forming them in 4 dimensions: Humanity - Knowledge - Apostolate and Spiritual Life. Next, he introduced the Executive Board of the group and 12 group leaders. In the opening program, there were lively and joyful musical performances.

After the opening ceremony, Father Rector presided at the mass to pray for the students entering the new school year so they might reap good results. Concelebrating were priests from the Don Bosco Academy and the Superior of the Rogationist Order.

At the end of the mass, Nguyen Quang Huy - Head of the Executive Board of the SOB Group expressed his gratitude to the Rector, Fathers, and Brothers of Don Bosco for creating conditions for students to have a place to live, be formed, and receive education.

At the end of the Mass, all shared a celebration with the SOB Group and enjoyed musical performances performed by the SOB Students.
