By Br. Joseph Ngo Duc Thuan

Salesian Brother Joseph Ngo Duc Thuan, 30 years old, is from Binh Thuan, Vietnam and is assigned to the new Circumscription of North Africa (CNA).” My missionary vocation gradually developed in me. I became more aware that if there were not missionaries in the past, there would not have been our Congregation today present in 134 countries.

I made this decision to be a missionary because I want to challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone and moving to a new country, new people, and new cultures for the love of Jesus Christ and St. John Bosco. I’m happy to be sent to North Africa because I believe this is God’s will. However, I also have my fears because I am being sent to a region where the Catholics are a minority. Yet, I trust in God’s guidance and providence, and I am sure that with God nothing is impossible.
