World, 27 March, 2023 -- The Pontifical Foundation 'Aid to the Church in Need' (ACN) of the Catholic Church is supporting the Catholic faithful and other Christians, where they are persecuted, oppressed or in challenging pastoral needs. ACN was founded on Christmas day 1947 in Europe and now is supporting 5000 projects across the world each year (website: https://acnuk.org).

As it does every year, also for Lent 2023 the ACN has prepared a strongly motivating 14 Stations of the Way of the Cross (Via Crucis), where each station connects the suffering of Jesus with the present suffering of his disciples in persecuted Churches like Mexico (murder of priests, Afghanistan Christian refugees, Catholic prisoners in Pakistan, religious in northern part of Mozambique, victims of jihadists in RD Congo, Ukraine, Syria, Cuba, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, Haiti, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Iraq).

Two versions of the ACN 'Way of the Cross' for and with the persecuted Christians are available on Boscolink or directly on the ACN website (UK office).
