Ulanbaatar - Mongolia, 13 March 2023 -- One of the few regular PDO communication tools in the EAO Region, Ulanbaatar-based Mongolia Delegation’s Project and Development Office 'Updates from Mongolia' was published a few days ago online (Winter 2023). On the 16 pages prepared with excellent layout and contribution from many Mongolia Delegation SDBs, Lay mission partners, missionary volunteers and Salesian Family members we gain a deeper insight into the Salesian mission in this most Northern EAO region country.

PDO Director, Br. Andrew Tran le Phuong, SDB opens this issue with 3 new year greetings: January 1 (Solar new year), January 21 (Lunar new year) and February 21 (Mongolian new year - Tsagaan Sar) and the strong determination to spread the Good News in our world 'infested with the opposite' - an ocean of bad news.

The reader is introduced to the Christmas celebrations event for poor youth, the historic first Mongolia SYM (Salesian Youth Movement) gathering, the graduation of 55 students from the UB 'DBITSC' (Don Bosco Industrial Technical Skill Center), Mongolia mission through the eyes of the Volunteers, an interview with domestic and international volunteers (Argentina and USA), youth sharing after Christmas outreach, Darkhan Oratory daily life during winter and Shuvuu mission winter outreach to poor families.

Last, but not the least, we read words shared by the newly arrived missionary from Korea, Fr Paul Kang and a strong invitation to supporters and partners: 'Without you we can do nothing'. You can find further information or Don Bosco Mongolia stories on the - Delegation website in 3 languages.
