HCM City, Vietnam, 20 January 2023 -- On 23 December of every lunar new year, members of the Salesian Family of Vietnam gather in a fraternal atmosphere to celebrate the Family Day.
At 7:30 a.m on 14 January 2023, at the Philip Rinaldi Theological Community, there were many members of the Salesian Family present and exchanging smiles, greetings in an atmosphere of excitement. After that, everyone began to settle in the hall for the opening of the program. It is known that the number of participants this year is about 500 people.
Responsible for animating this year's program are the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians with the coordination of Brother Martino Bui Van Luan, SDB - In charge of the Salesian Family.
After the introduction of the participants in the program by two MCs, Sister Kim Ngan and Sister My Anh, everyone was able to watch a video of Strenna 2023, edited and voiced by the Communication Department. Right after that, Father Barnaba Le An Phong explained the content of the Strenna in a more specific and closer way so that everyone could better understand the thought that Father Rector Major wanted to convey. And then, the FMA sisters illustrated the Strenna with the dance performance "Being Yeast in Today's Human Family".
And so that everyone can remember the content of the Strenna, the FMA Sisters have prepared a Game Show called "Miracle Rotation" to learn about the Strenna. The atmosphere of the program was richer and lively with musical performances and New Year greetings.
The climax of the meeting day was the Mass which took place at 11:00. Father Barnabas Le An Phong was the main celebrant. In his homily, Father Barnabas developed the meaning of "Dream" in the lives of educators and Salesian pastors. Thereby, he hopes that every member of the Salesian family will always be the ones who dare to dream, in order to serve the poor young people.
The day was extended with joy and ended with a party accompanied by a lively part of the performances. Also at this hour, Brother Martino Bui Van Luan expressed his gratitude to the superiors, members of the organizing committee, and everyone who together created a warm family atmosphere of Meeting day.
