HCM City, Vietnam, 21 December 2022 -- A live streaming of Christmas carols took place at 7:30 pm on 19 December 2022 at the hall of the Provincial House in Ho Chi Minh City. The theme was “Hope, Love and Joy” and it was conducted by the Social Communication Commission, Don Bosco Viet Nam.
Attending the program were the Vice Provincial Fr Joseph Nguyen Kim Khanh, Salesians in the Communication Department, two Vietnamese missionaries ad gentes and a few other Salesians. The two MCs, singers and dancers of the program were young people belonging to different works of Don Bosco charism.
The program was organized with the aim of creating a connection between Salesians and young people to together convey good messages on the Christmas occasion:
- With young people Hope in a true love;
- With young people Love the way of Jesus;
- Live together with young people the Holy Joy.
With 16 performances rich in form and meaning, interspersed with interviewing two Vietnamese missionaries ad gentes, and watching short video Christmas messages from another four missionaries in different places in the world, the program has brought to the audience precious love to experience and live the mystery of the incarnation of the Son of God.
The live stream program went smoothly and well. The young people who contributed to the program felt very happy and shared that joy together in a snack right after the program ended.
On behalf of the organizers, Fr Joseph Nguyen Tri Dung, the Provincial Delegate for Social Communications, thanked everyone for their contributions to the program, and at the same time he also extended his best wishes for Christmas to everyone.
A warm and impressive evening has ended, but the echoes of the sacred lyrics and music will probably still echo in the souls of the performers as well as those who enjoy them.
