5900(IV)_EAO Salesian Family Annual Meeting and Sharing

       EAO Region, 25 November 2022 -- The family of Don Bosco is growing through sharing the Salesian spirit, mission and life's apostolic and spiritual experiences. The annual gift (Strenna) of the Rector Major offers a wonderful chance to share 'best practices', to learn from other 15 groups of the Salesian Family or from the other 11 Salesian provinces in the EAO Region.

       From 2023, the Valdocco-based 'World level' of the 41st SF Spirituality Days is moving to evening hours, so for the East Asia - Oceania SF members it will not be possible to follow real time LIVE streaming on YouTube. But thanks to the unfailing hard work of the 8 'main' EAO language translators we will be able to access the wealth of living 'Salesianity' any time on the 'EAO-SF' YouTube channels in English, Japanese, Indonesian, Korean, Mongolian, Thai, Tetum and Vietnamese.

       The 'steering' core team of the EAO Salesian Family animated by Br Dominic Nam (RMG, World Delegate for the Salesian Cooperators and Don Bosco Past Pupils) with the EAO SF Coordinator Fr Mario do Rosario Costa (TLS) and the other 9 lay and religious members were able to finalize the EAO level program that will happen on January 13 and 14. Until December 20 all twelve EAO Salesian provinces are involved in the preparation of 26 short videos that will be part of the program next January 2023: presentation of two SF groups (DQM secular institute and DB Past Pupils), life experience and reflection on the 'Yeast of Human family' Strenna, opening and closing prayers as well the Goodnight talks. Due to the theme of the Strenna 2023 most of the speakers and contributors are lay members of the Salesian Family.

       How can you contribute personally or as a Salesian Family group to the preparation of EAO Spirituality Days?

• You can invite some 'marginalized' SF members or Salesian Youth to join this online event.
• You can read the presentation of the Strenna 2023 by the Rector Major (September 2022).
• You can pray over and reflect how are you 'becoming the Yeast of the Human Family'
• You can share on your social media about the 2023 Salesian Family Spirituality days
