Trawas, Surabaya (East Java) – There are eleven young Salesians: six brothers in perpetual vows and five young priests (BALITA – in their quinquennium) gathered together for three days (September 15 – 17, 2022) to refresh their vocation as Salesians and religious. The six Brothers in perpetual vows are Brother Lusianus Kelo, Brother Yulius Eliseus Nuwa Owa, Brother Bernardinus Mei, Brother Ignatius Satya Paramitha, Brother Gregorius Alek Wiyono, and Brother Alfridus Tena. Meanwhile, the five young priests are Fr. Fransiskus Borgias Adventus, Fr. Yulius Dadang Suprianto, Fr. Marselinus Tanggu Daga, Fr. Ignasius Harianto, and Fr. Viktorius Koli Koten.

These eleven young Salesians received refreshment from three speakers, namely Fr Andres Calleja, Fr Boniface Onny, and Brother Ephrem Santos. Father Andres Calleja on that occasion reminded the young Salesians to be faithful and steadfast in their vocation. There are three important words given, namely consistency, coherence and normality in carrying out a vocation that has been lived for approximately 10 years as a Salesian. Another thing that was said that Salesians need to work together with fellow Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), FMA Sisters, and lay people to advance ministry and mission with young people.

The second speaker, Father Onny gave an overview of the Salesian apostolic field, namely young people with various generations. These young Salesians need to know well today's young people who have been and are currently using various media communication and their applications. Media communication is the main means for today's young generation. So, it is necessary to provide values and virtues both Christian and from the Salesian Spirit itself.

The third speaker, Brother Ephrem, focused more on how the young Salesians respond to the needs of today's youth. Especially through the field of education, both formal and non-formal (namely the Training Center). In addition, how is it described to organize an educational institution.

For three days, the young Salesians participated in the activities with enthusiasm and kinship. The activities are the Eucharistic Celebration led by four young priests, joint recreation, joint sports, good night talk, and refreshment sessions with three preachers. In addition, the place is very supportive for these activities.
