Parañaque, the Philippines, 8 September 2022 -- Today the community of Seminaryo ng Don Bosco in Parañaque, the Philippines, joins the Mother Church in commemorating the Nativity of our Blessed Virgin Mother with the perpetual profession of Cl. Leandro Almeida, SDB, and Orlando de Jesus, SDB, confreres from TLS province.
The Provincial of FIN Province, Fr. Gerardo Martin, SDB celebrated the Holy Eucharist joined by seven Salesian priests and two deacons.
Among the priests present were Fr. Rafael Dela Cruz SDB, the Rector of Seminaryo ng Don Bosco, and the Rector of Sandor community of Coadjutors, Fr. Roneldo Vilbar, SDB.
In his homily, Fr. Martin reminded the faithful present of the three figures in the Church whose birthday are celebrated. These he mentioned are Jesus on the day of Christmas, John the Baptist on June 24, and our Blessed Mother. He reminded the two perpetuandi, together with all the clerics and coadjutor brothers present that, perpetual profession is the conscious decision a Christian can make in his life, recalling the promise of his Baptism.
After the Eucharistic celebration, the community gathered in the refectory for felicitation and entertainment. The evening was concluded by Fr. Martin, congratulating the perpetuandi in his goodnight talk and his blessing.
