EAO Eco Team, August 12, 2022 -- The multiple signs of global environment crisis reach us every day through all kinds of communications media. Don Bosco Green Alliance (DBGA), with 567 members in 85 countries worldwide (='exclusively' institutions of Don Bosco's Salesian Family) is growing with continuous sharing of experiences, animation by the world level Convener with his team and also by each of the 7 SDB regional coordinators.

EAO Eco Team coordinator, Ms. Taichi Miranda (FIS) shares the coming future projects of the EAO Eco Team:

'We prepare our EAO 'Eco Art Festival' in digital platforms for next November. Every country, province or delegation in our Region creates the programs for this Festival with their own contest, on their own platforms and selects their best for the month of November 2022. We select November 21 - 25 for the presentation in the EAO Regional Platform and dedicate each day to a different country. However a common EAO Region LOGO and SLOGANG for the Eco Art Festival are not yet decided'.

While the 'ground level' or grass-root level activities of the DBGA members are the most important, the annual animation opportunities of the large Catholic 'Laudato Si Movement' and Pope Francis are also on the 'DBGA screen'.

Next is Pope Francis' Message for the 'Season of Creation' (Ecumenical event, Sept 1 - October 4, 2022) with the theme 'Listen to the voice of Creation' already published on the net with 4 clear simple points:

       * A time to cultivate our ecological conversion

       * Sweet song and bitter cry of Creation

       * A warning message ahead of the COPs (UN Conference of Climate Change, Conference of Parties): COP 27 (Egypt, Nov 2022) and COP 15 on Biodiversity (Canada, Dec 2022).

       * For key principles for biodiversity: Put vulnerable people at the center - those most affected by biodiversity loss; promoting global solidarity and commitment for biodiversity; fight biodiversity loss, support its conservation and recovery; build a clear ethical basis for the transformation we need in order to save biodiversity.

Thanks to the Global Catholic 'Laudato Si' movement we are able to access also to many useful animation materials, like the 'Laudato Si Platform' or 'Laudato Si Prayerbook' or Laudato Si animators formation course.

On the refreshed 'Don Bosco Green Alliance' website (https://www.donboscogreen.org) you may get recent resources and shared experience from all 85 DBGA country members.
